Stand Together
I spent the last 3 years working at a local news station. During my time as a producer, I became very familiar with the issues plaguing the Wichita communities, surrounding neighborhoods, and the state of Kansas.
Not only did I hear from the ‘Right’ and the ‘Left,’ but I heard from you, the people. I listened and learned what the people of our communities actually needed. And that is someone to not only listen, but to act.
And I believe that person is me. No longer did I want to just bring people the news. I want to take a more proactive role in providing solutions to the issues we have been facing for far too long. I want to be in the rooms where decisions are being made, so that you have an advocate there to speak up and make your voices be heard.
Let me be your voice in Topeka and let’s move our communities forward together.
What We Can Do Together
Funding cuts over the years have led to larger class sizes, program cuts, and a greater difficulty in teachers being able to meet the needs of their students. It’s essential to send public school advocates to Topeka. I understand the need to continue to invest in education to support our teachers, our communities, and most importantly the future of our students.

We need to increase placement stability and increase options for the children. There needs to be facilities for kids who have mental health problems. Without adequate mental health treatment, those children may end up in detention facilities.
Kansans have spoken, we showed the country we believe that reproductive decisions belong between a woman and her and her physician. A woman’s right to abortion must be protected, and I will do exactly that.
Kansans need access to affordable healthcare and prescription drugs. In Kansas today, 1 in 8 adults age 18 to 64 lack health care coverage. And, 1 in 3 do not have dental coverage. Over 70% of Kansans support expanding access to affordable coverage which will save lives and lower expenses for everyone.
Americans are united in the belief that support for the Second Amendment goes hand in hand with keeping guns out of the hands of criminals and other dangerous people. Reasonable solutions include raising the age to purchase from 18 to 21, 3-day waiting period, and close criminal background check loopholes.
